Once executed, the copies itself to the following location:
%System%\wldmgr.exe

The periodically recreates the following registry entries so that it runs when Windows starts:

  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\”wldmgr” = “wldmgr.exe”
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices\”wldmgr” = “wldmgr.exe”

The modifies the following registry entry to disable the Shared Access service in Windows 2000/XP:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SharedAccess\”Start” = “4″

It gathers email addresses from the Windows Address Book and from the following locations:

  • %Windir%\Temporary Internet Files
  • %Userprofile%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files
  • %System%

It then gathers email addresses from files with the following extensions on all local drives from C to Y:
